I don’t have any yarn winder neither umbrella swift. On the first time I bought the yarn not as a ball, at first, I just tried to roll it with patient manually, but ended up it knotting up. When I shared my problem in rolling the yarn, my friends from DC group told me the easy way using whatever I have around my home.
Here what I did:
- Put the skein of yarn on any object around you that can hold it while you are rolling the yarn. I use legs of chair (you can use someone’s else arms too if they agree to hold the yarn for quite a while ๐ )
- Take 2 chopsticks or maybe your knitting needle will be fine.
- Start rolling the yarn into the chopsticks that you put in cross shape. You can roll it so every side of the chopsticks is balance.
- After you finish rolling the yarn, just pull out the chopsticks from the yarn, and your yarn is ready to use now.
Thank you mbak Thata and mbak Fenny who helped me to solved this rolling yarn problem . Now there’s no knot in my yarn anymore :). Hope this help anyone who have the same problem with me.
Anyway, if you don’t like this way, you could try another way too. Hope it helps!
